Is it correct that every thing is fair in love and war?
Even though both are in contradiction to each other. Could you co relate with some instances to strengthen it.
Good question ! I do not know how this proverb must have come into force. But I strongly disagree with it. Remember the atrocities of world war II , the concentration camps and torture of human beings for no reason. One can say in love people commit all kind of stupidities , fight with each other , break off and then come back together again to form the relationship. But in no way it can be compared with war.

I can’t say about war but almost everything is fair in love. Because for war, there is a loss of many things and for love there is something more than love.

I believe this not to be so in either cases.
Love is a word we often misuse for passion. I think of passion as a good emotion but there are certainly limits to what can be permitted. You cannot kill or mistreat a person who stops loving you or who’s passion is burned out. Even if you will suffer,you have to let go.
War in itself is evil,therefore if we are in a situation where we cannot avoid it I believe we should stick to a code of behavior that does not cross the line of what we can morally uphold.

No of course not. When I met my husbands sense of humor he laughed the most. When I met his faith, he became a hero. When I met his politics, he became a controller. When I met his passion, he became my lover. But he was not my first love and we both love the same person of the trinity. Through that love we can proceed in our social discourse as dignitaries.
