Telling the family…. whenis the right time?
I just got my BFP 2 days ago and i am 4 weeks.
I have had 2 miscarriages in the last 8 months or so. One at 10.5 weeks and one at 9 weeks.
This time my husband doesn’t want to tell anyone until we have had our 12 week scan. The last couple of times we have told close family around 8ish weeks.
I am thinking that i would like to tell my mum earlier as i want the support if anything was to happen again. However if we tell my mum we will have to tell his. He is against this and says we can do this on our own. I don’t know what to do, anybody got any ideas? Do you think we should tell our close family or because of our past problems, should we keep it a secret so that we don’t upset them again. Also it falls to my husband to break the bad news and i know that is horrible, so i do understand his point of view. What do you think?

i had 2 miscarriages before this pregnancy too and it was horrible to have to tell everyone that i lost the baby.. maybe you can compromise with him and just tell your parents and his in the next few weeks then wait til later to tell everyone else. i know i really liked the support of my mom being with me when i had my miscarriages. i ended up telling her when i was about 7 or 8 weeks this time and everythings going great so far. good luck and congrats on the pregnancy!

In my opinion, having a miscarriage isn’t something one can keep inside without it showing on the outside.

If you choose not to tell close family & friends and GOD FORBID something happens, you’ll eventually (or most likely) tell what happened anyway and it will show on your face something isn’t right.

I don’t think you need to tell everyone per se straight away, but your family will always give you support no matter what, so I don’t see why you should keep it from them.

Once DH & I saw a heartbeat at just over 7w, we told our families and very close friends. Work still doesn’t know nor do friendly acquaintances.

If I had 2 miscarriages in the last 8 months, I wouldn’t tell anybody until you were obviously showing, which would put you out of the danger zone of the two previous pregnancies.

Do you really want to get people excited even with the remote possibility of another miscarriage, just to have to tell them something else?

I’d keep things extremely close to the chest if it was me.

I know how u feel the first time i was pregnant i misscarried too and we told everyone early and had. To deal with wat happened?? Are u guys ok??? And at that moment u just want to be left alone… My husband was the same as ur husband the next time round he was afraid aomething would happen again and hlthat we would have to deal wit ppl in our faces again… Anyway i was wanting to tell close family again but bcoz i saw how much my partner didnt want to i stopped asking if we coukd and jst waited till 12 weeks… I know support from ur mother would b great but sometimes they are excited to be grandmothers they accidently let it slip… Maybe refrain from telling anyone coz as u said if u told ur mum u would have to tell his And im sure there woild be other ppl on the list too so yeh it pretty much doesnt stop at ur mumand his

Well hunnie i know what you mean about telling your mum because i know how it feels 2 be pregnant and want 2 tell your mum because you are close and like you said for the support. Im sorry for your losses, when i found out i was pregnant my partner told his sister and brother and i told my mum sister and dad also cousin and auntie then i miscarried at 10 weeks. Its horrible. I think if i was pregnant again i wouldn’t tell anyone and would wait till 12 week because everyone was devastated. I think i’d be like you and want 2 tell my mum though. But i know how your husband feels because sometimes its harder in case you loose the baby and other people know because they don’t act normal sort of thing with you they act a bit sensitive and your husband probably would just want them to be normal. So if i was you i’d just do what your husband says if you really feel the need to tell your mum just tell her but explain to her about your husband didn’t want her to know because of the upset etc in case it happens again and ask her 2 keep it quiet. That way you will have support from your mum. But it depends how you feel in that way about not telling your husband your mum knows which could be worse if he found out. Did you know there are currently 9.2 Million unemployed people in America right now?
Exactly the same number of people that were unemployed in August of last year. We are still in a recession and from what I can see, very few companies are hiring at an alarming rate right now. I hope this government is ready to see their crime rate go up from one state after another. I just don’t think 8.3 Million people across America are simply going to sit around and watch their families starve and lose everything they have because this government feels "it’s time" to pull the plug on EUC.

Before you fortunate folks who already have a job begin to criticize my comment, be grateful you still have a job, because there are those who have lost their job through fault of their own, but there are Millions out there who have not and just simply want to make a living for their families. Before you criticize, try using the same voice to help those in need by contacting your Senators and Legislators and tell them you don’t want crime to go up in your neighborhood, so they need to extend the EUC as well as give these employers the incentive they need to hire people. Anyone else out there filling out 40 applications a day like me?

On the positive side though, this has encouraged me to go back to school. I am currently a Computer Information System student going for my Bachelors………keep the faith, all us jobless folks

I really do feel for you but I guess there are millions more just like you. The people need to start making those fools in Washington understand what is really going on.

If I owned a business, there is no way in heck I would expand or hire a single employee right now.

The current administration is telling me point blank, they will raise my taxes, they will add a carbon tax, they will increase my electricity and oil prices, they will provide benefits for hiring, but only temporarily, they are calling me a bad employer because I am not providing a high enough wage, they are encouraging me to allow a union in my shop, and on and on.

Are you kidding me? WHY on EARTH would I try and succeed with all that hanging over my head?

How ironic. I too am unemployed and am considering going back to school for something computer related as well-possibly a degree in computer networking. The thing that concerns me is that with the economy being so slow right now there is a large number of people taking advantage of this downtime, going back to school for retraining or to get a degree of some form. When things do pick back up there might be a glut of people with diplomas competing for the same jobs that you or i will be, thus still making it hard to find employment.

Anyways, check into WIA and TRA/TAA programs through unemployment. They will help to pay for your tuition in school.

Please please Help!!!!!!!?
Hi I have a horrible tick infestation in my house. We have 3 dogs, (all on flea and tick medication), and they must have dragged them in. We have treated our yard, and sprayed our house but we keep finding them!! I sprayed today and they were crawling out of cracks when i sprayed the floor. It’s disgusting and scary! We find about 6-7 a day. My dad refuses to call an exterminator because he’s convinced the spray will work if we just keep using it. We live in florida so I think they’re just brown dog ticks but it’s still absolutely horrible. Any suggestions?? thank you!

Get an exterminator in. Some ticks can carry disease which is transferable to humans!

plz help with the plot of my story. BTW why doesn`t anybody answer my questions and they expect me to answer.?
It`s about a freshman named Daxter Seitz. I plan on changing the name. His parents are divorced and he lives with his mother and sister. They plan on moving but he forgets about it. He sees absolutely no reason to be sad. He has no friends and he just wants to start a new life in a new town.
So you get the picture. He, his mother and his sister used to live in Alagonia until the day that all hell happened. The dragons and armies of Hirken and L`uria brought peace umong Alagonia but Tuur`ac wanted to gain streinght and he dissobeyed the rules of the dragon riders. When his armies died in the war against Hirken and L`uria he put a spell on there children. Spencers father didn`t leave Spencer`s mother, he died. He was the rider of the legendary dragon Galandror. The day that Daxter turned 15 he felt great fear. when he fell in the deep sleep he travelled to the forbidden mountains. There he was stabbed by the spear of faith. It is a spear with the claw of a betrayed dragon. He started seeing flashbacks and now this is the point where I`m stuck. I want him to start hearing some voices that will lead him to the elven kingdom of which he will go to L`uria. please help
